The classes included and interactive activities, PowerPoint presentations, group discussions, brainstorming method etc.
The course “EU Institutional and Legal System” was taught to MA students of the “Social Work” specialty. The main attention was devoted to studying the organizational structure of the EU governing bodies and institutions, the procedures for their formation and their powers, as well as the EU legal system. The course lectures were taught by Svitlana Soroka (Doctor of Sciences in Public Administration, Professor). The seminars were led by Dmytro Say (PhD in Education, Associate Professor). The classes included discussions, Q&A sessions and interactive activities, including two simulation games: Meeting of the European Council and Meeting of the European Parliament.
Thanks to the teams’ development and publication of the Multimedia Textbook “EU Governance and European Integration Policy”, there has been an improvement and increase in the effectiveness of teaching courses within the Jean Monnet Module. Students learned better by using the Multimedia textbook, which contains many visual interactive materials (videos, photos, tables, pictures, etc.).
At the end of the courses, the students successfully passed the exams.
