The Conference “Lisbon Treaty – 10 years after its entry into force. What has changed in the functioning of the EU? ” was organized at Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University on December 2, 2019. The Conference was held in the framework of the Erasmus + Jean Monnet project module “Governance in the EU and European Integration Policy” which is being implemented at the Institute of Public Administration of PMBSNU.
Welcoming remarks at the Conference were made by: Volodymyr BEGLYTSIA, Vice-Rector of Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University; Dmytro LAZAREV, Director of the Department of Administrative Services of the Mykolaiv City Council; Volodymyr YEMELYANOV, Director of the Institute of Public Administration of Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University; Mykhaylo Bagmet, Director of the European Union Information Center of Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University; Svetlana SOROKA, Professor, he Department of Public Administration and Management of Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University.
Among the participants of the conference were civil servants, academic scholars, social workers, undergraduate and graduate students of public administration and social work and others. During the conference the participants worked in the following areas: history of the Lisbon Treaty; the Lisbon Treaty as a basis for reforming the EU’s governance system and its effectiveness; the role of the Lisbon Treaty in the legal and institutional development of the EU; experience of the European Union in reforming public administration in Ukraine; development of social standards and protection of human rights of the European Union: experience for Ukraine.
After the conference the participants had an opportunity to continue discussion on EU development and Ukraine’s integration during a buffet reception.
