Awarding the winners of the competition "Best Practices of Implementing Educational Innovations" - the authors of the Multimedia Textbook "Governance in the EU and European Integration Policy"

On November 24, 2021, the National Agency of Ukraine for Civil Service Affairs hosted an award ceremony for the winners of the competition “Best practices for the implementation of educational innovations in the system of professional training of civil servants, heads of local state administrations, their first deputies and deputies, local government officials and deputies of local councils” in 2021.

The Multimedia Textbook “EU Governance and Politics of European Integration” by Jean Monnet Modules’ team Svitlana Soroka, Yuliana Palagnyuk and Dmytro Say won in the nomination “Training of MA students in Public administration”. Associate Professor Dmytro Say received an award from the Institute of Public Administration at the National Agency of Ukraine for Civil Service Affairs.

66 applications with innovative practices that have been implemented in educational activities for vocational training participated in this year’s competition.

The Multimedia Textbook “EU Governance and Politics of European Integration” by Jean Monnet Modules’ team Svitlana Soroka, Yuliana Palagnyuk and Dmytro Say is an example of the practice of introducing educational innovations in the vocational training system.  The purpose of the Multimedia Textbook created at the Institute of Public Administration is to use the latest tools and modern information technologies in training of MA students in Public administration, providing greater clarity and practical skills in studying European integration disciplines. It contains many visual interactive materials (videos, photos, tables, pictures, etc.). The textbook software is a web page on the Internet https://eugov.chmnu.edu.ua/miltymediinyi-posibnyk/, the main purpose of which is training, including self-study. Students can choose the type of information presented, the sequence of information presented and its pace. Knowledge control is through online tests, quizzes, homework. The practical use of the multimedia textbook at the Institute of Public Administration took place during the MA courses “Governance and Decision Making in the EU”, “Politics of European Integration”, “European Integration, International Public Administration and Security”, “EU Institutional and Legal System” (special course with teaching elements in a foreign language) ”
