On February 4, 2021, the Training for Civil Servants and Social Workers “Modern Challenges in the Management and Policy-Making of the European Union” was held. The training was conducted as part of the Jean Monnet Module project “EU Governance and European Integration Policy” of the Erasmus + program at Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University.
Civil servants, local government officials, and social workers from Mykolayiv cjty and Mykolayiv region attended the training. The director of the Institute of Public Administration Volodymyr Yemelyanov and the director of the Information Center of the European Union of Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University Mykhailo Bagmet opened the training. The project trainers-experts in the field of European integration of the university, Professor Svitlana Soroka, Professor Yuliana Palagnyuk and Associate Professor Dmytro Say, acquainted the participants with the institutional structure, EU decision-making process, current governance challenges and the EU enlargement policy. Group games were held: criterion poker “Reasons for the UK’s exit from the EU”, a meeting of the European Council, the creation of a tree of European values and symbols. All participants received certificates.
